Currently sitting at a rickety table backstage in Boone (yes - another runout) listening to the orchestra play American in Paris... one of the pieces I heard umpteen times on the last Pops tour. It's 63 degrees here tonight, by the way. Global warming, my ass.
I'm glad to report that I was offered full-time, year-round employment by the festival earlier this week. They met my requests on compensation, benefits, and - most importantly - my ability to work at home from Atlanta. Setting my own schedule for 9 months out of the year will work quite nicely, thankyouverymuch. I'm looking forward to it.
I've 6 days left after today, blissfully coasting down the home stretch. Sleep, alcohol, and a massage are high on my list of post-festival priorities - not necessarily in that order.

Congrats!
Outstanding, dude. Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing you in the ATH/ATL very soon.
That is great! It'll be wonderful having you around more!
Rock on! I know Bean and I could be persuaded to take a group trip to the spa, convince Russ and we'll make a date of it!
By the way, for all of you with dirty minds... I didn't mean it THAT way.

Fantastic news! Amazing how it all turns out sometimes, isn't it? ;)
